the end of adolescence

i am so sad harry potter is coming to an end, but man, what a ride it has been. i just spent the past hour and a half standing in like waiting for the book, and i honestly almost cried when i was paying for it. this puppy better be worth all the wait. and it will be.

off to nyc this weekend to visit some loves and a job interview on monday. im pretty nervous/excited, but we will see what will come of all of this. prayers kiddies. it would be very much appreciated.

why do all good things come to an end?

it took me 4 years of college and a year of grad school to realize that being at home aint so bad. tonight i watched "factory girl" with roseanne at my new house (move in day: next thursday!) and we got kind of emotional. no, not because of the movie (which was really not all that good, but an acid trippy movie), but because this summer is really the last time we can do shit like this. the thing is, roseanne and i had made plans to live together after we graduated. but after a year of planning, we both realized we need to go to different cities for our jobs. new york is really the city to find a job for marketing, and la is the place to find a job filming. so here we are... two friends whose intentions to live together are busted and will now be living coast to coast. so thats why we got kinda sad. no more sitting at my house eating chocolate and watching bad movies till three am. no more drive in double feature movies. no more dinners where we act like complete assholes and the entire restaurant stares at us. but that's all part of growing up, right?

so i've got to enjoy it while it lasts... and remember that good times that lie ahead.

ps. OMG, IT'S ALMOST HARRY POTTER DAY.... i guess i will never grow up...

hello there

well, thus starts a new chapter in my life. one door closes (in this case, my livejournal that i have had for 4 years) and another one opens. which brings me here to blogspot. the way i saw it was that it was time to move on from livejournal. i am graduating in less than three weeks from my mba, am hopefully getting a job in a city other than buffalo, and am moving out of my house to go on to bigger and better things. my livejournal basically documented my college years, and i feel that this blogspot will take me through the next chaotic and unknown year of my life.

so that is my uninteresting first post. hello to my faithful followers from livejournal, those who are new, and those who just plain stalk me. that means you bonnie.

ps. i would like to credit miss kari, whose blog is linked to the right, for guiding me to blogspot way back when after i became obsessed with another "a year in the life" of blog...
